I have stopped the nasty practice of making mix tapes for my car without
writing down the contents. Invariably I hear something and then have
extreme trouble finding who it was, in my collection. Like yesterday, for
over 2 hours, with out any luck

To witness, the following lyrics that I am hoping some one will recognize:

Are these times contagious,
I've never been this bored before,
Is this the prize I've waited for.

Now with the hours passing,
There's nothing left here to mature(?)
I long to find a messenger.

We've both got a long way to run
We've both got a long way to run

Its a guy singing. It starts out with a soft strummed guitar, then joined
by piano. It is a nicely produced song (read major label) with lots of
strings followed at one point with a kick ass guitar solo. It is a pretty
pop song.

I am stumped and I know I am going to be embarrassed when I find out who
it is.

Please help me avoid playing every single cd in my collection.

Regards, Tom
