So last night I posted my 70s/80s 2CD comp, and a few people commented on
Zot (which was cool. Anyone know what vocal processing the singer used?).
The Zot tune could easily have appeared on my other 80's compilation which
focuses mostly on the mid-80s, but was actually compiled about 4 years
earlier. For the sake of completeness, or at least continuity, here it is.
Like the last compilation, this one covers a lot of tracks I used to hear on
the radio (Seattle's long lost KJET)...tracks that don't get played much
today, if at all. I remember hearing "Say You Will" on KJET in 87 or so and
calling the DJ to find out who did it. With info in hand, I tracked said
album down in a cut-out bin (it had been released in 82 and subsequently
deleted). About 2/3 of the tracks here still have not been released on CD
(to my knowledge). A couple of local Seattle Bands of the time show up as
well.
