My local thrift store continues to amaze me. I picked up a disc for a
quarter by a group called The Mysteries of Life and the title is Keep a
Secret. This is an RCA release from 1996. The lead singer is a dead
ringer for the guy from The Odds. The music is sorta similar as well. I
would classify it as baroque grunge. The core group is a guitar, bass,
cello and percussion. It is very Toad the W/S as well. Quite a nice
discovery.
On a related note (b-flat), My spousal type unit has been laid off a few
months ago which basically translates to me not being able to buy CD's with
reckless abandon. I had a stash of over 100 CDs not opened yet. This
has now dwindled to less than 10 as of today. I am not quite sure what is
going to happen when I reach ground zero. Is there a 12 step program for
CD purchasing?
There are at least 100 things I would like to go right out and buy.
Regards, Tom
