Thanks for the info on Glass Moon. I too remember that song from the early
80's and even in the mid-80s, I was never able to find info on it. No record
store in Seattle could tell me who did it (other than The Hollies, of
course). I typed in the the info just now and lo and behold, someone has a
MP3 of it, made from a cassette recording
(http://userweb.suscom.net/~badfinger/)
It's perfect for my semi-obscure late-70s/early-80s set I put together which
features a lot of AOR hard rock/melodic rock stuff that doesn't get played
too much these days. A lot of the tracks on this comp (including the On a
Carousel track) were played on Bellingham Washington station KISM which I
used to listen to quite a bit in early 80's. I can't really describe exactly
how I chose the tracks for this set, except that they are either tracks I
remember hearing on the radio at the time or album tracks I particularly
liked from lesser known bands (a few noticeable exceptions here and there of
course). For the auditees crowd though, I'm sure many of them will be quite
familiar. My girlfriend jokingly calls a lot of this "cock rock" and doesn't
see the appeal for many of the tracks (though she digs "Run Runaway" and
"Who's Behind the Door"). I'm still trying to track down a regional hit from
Bellingham, Washington of Footlucy "Nice Guys Finish Last" which had a great
guitar riff intro and vocals similar to Heart. The Sad Cafe and Face to Face
cuts are more pop than rock but I included them anyway. Compliments and
flames cheerfully accepted :) Cheers! Brent
