Ahhh...it's good to be back on Audities!
Just thought I'd share some new stuff I'm digging, for those of you
looking for something new...
THE BLONDES - Swedish Heat
Big, bold, flashy snotty, glammy power pop w/ big nods to Cheap Trick
and Redd Kross...*and* awesome tunes to boot! One of my favorite
surprise releases this year. Anyone else heard this band?? David...let
me help get these guys for the next IPO!
JET - Get Born
Came out last week on Elektra. This Aussie band is riding on the coat-tails
of other Southern Hemishpere garage bashers (ie: DM4, The Datsuns, etc...)
but they do it *SOOOO* much better. Big, flashy, hi-fi ROCK w/ a solid backbone.
SLOAN - Action Pact
Nothing new or different...but they meld rock w/ pop hooks better than most
bands out there...and killer harmonies that won't stop!
Any thoughts on the new Guided by Voices? Same ol' same ol'??
