Will,
I haven't listened to this album in years as I only have vinyl and
a turntable packed away.... that being said, looking at the track listing
it brings back fond memories of a beautiful album I loved.
I couldn't't tell from your post if you are familiar with her work, as I know
some say the sound of her voice was a huge turnoff, but I never had that problem.
I don't know if I would call it "the Sgt. Pepper of singer/songwriter recordings"
but I do agree it is a classic album with nary a weak track.
"you and me, we wanted it all" and "I won't break" were my favorites off
the album as well as the title track. Being a fan of Bacharach and Peter Allen
music for me this was a perfect album.
Not sure how much the bid is on ebay, but if you liked this type of music
I don't think you will be disappointed. If it is on CD and you win the auction
any chance of a copy? I just don't have the time to rip from vinyl anymore
and now I have those melodies playing in my head. amazing how that happens.
Oh well, I hope I helped a little.
