I'm with ya, there.  One doesn't normally use the word "groove" when 
discussing The Ramones, but the earlier Ramones live recordings--It's Alive!, NYC 
1978, the Leave Home and Rock 'n' Roll High School concert stuff and early 
bootlegs--do indeed have a tangible groove that was lost in later, too-rushed live 
sets (Loco Live, We're Outta Here!, Greatest Hits Live).
