As a longtime fan and buying so many disappointing 2-3 CD best of's
retrospectives that didnt contain all the UK and USA singles, alternate takes
or strange sounding remixes I hope this one's a keeper.

I have heard most of it already (and more expensively) - I hope younger fans
who buy this that only know the radio hits will be surprised at how amazingly
versitile the Hollies were, adapting smoothly to every UK pop trend of the
60's/70's from British Beat, Folk Rock, (Proto)Power Pop, Psychedelic-Soft
Pop,
Bubblegum to early 70's rock to huge ballads.

The live CD is a little disapointing - it contains everything from the
"Hollies
Live Hits" album that was released in the UK and Canada in 1976, and its been
available on CD from Sony Legacy for several years. If you havent heard it,
it's an excellent album and shows they could (almost) reproduce that huge
orchestral sound (Air That I Breathe) they had in the mid 70's.
