Your right about Bruford in Yes, but you've got it turned around. He was in KC
after Yes.

I remember watching him from the side of the stage on the Fragile tour. He
hardly broke a sweat while playing all those songs. The rest of the band was so
hung up on their image and philosophy. Bruford was just a brilliant drummer. I
saw him a couple of time with KC, and then with Genesis. I met him when he was
promoting his first solo album. He was playing at a smallish club with Dave
Stewart (the Hatfield and the North Dave Stewart, not Eurythimics). He was a
really nice guy and let me drink some of his rider beer and eat some of his
food. I was out of work at the time...

I think in the "prog" circles, he was one of the real creative forces. KC
hasn't been right since he bailed.

I just played Heart Of The Sunrise on my radio show last week. That is still
the best Yes album, and it holds up even 30 years later. Ok, you're sick of
Roundabout, but what 30 year old song that gets played all the time aren't you
sick of?

that's why I don't listen to commercial radio.
