John,
sorry but I'm trying to put the two posts quoted below together and make
sense of them. Was "Troubled Times" the only song you liked so overall the
album disappointed? Or did it simply take a while to win you over? I'd
think an album that contained one your "favorite songs ever" could hardly be
described by the phrase "wasn't at all impressed after hearing".

p.s. I'm told that Simon & Garfunkel were on the Today show this morning.
Did anyone see this? It sounds like they played 2-3 tunes, all different
from the Letterman appearance.

I don't remember much about the Fountains of Wayne part of the show,
other than they were exceedingly loud, and I wasn't at all impressed
after hearing "Utopia Parkway."
