We saw the second NA show of the tour, out here in Montana...That was
the one they webcast.
I think Scott McCaughey said they had worked up 60 songs!! At the sound
check there were two big poster boards with all the songs. A very
impressive list. The set we heard didn't have any real surprises, but it
covered a lot of ground. Much to my surprise they didn't play anything
from Up or Green. They did play 3 new songs though. It was a great show.
The band was in fine form.
The new drummer is Bill Reflin, who's been playing with Minus 5 since
2000. Believe he was in Ministry previously. I thought he was a good
choice. He hits them harder than Joey Wornaker. A bit more like Bill
Berry.
I talked to Pete Buck and he said he they had revised the song list for
the hits album that day, Aug 31st, so he was rewriting his liner notes.
I thought he might have gotten out to hit the local record shops, but he
said he had to work instead!
Go see them by all means.
