I just got the R.E.M. 'Bad Day' single, and it's
really good! Seems like a kind of purposeful return
to form a la U2's 'All That You Can't Leave Behind'
(which I really dug). Of course the latter did a full
album in the "classic" U2 style, while R.E.M. is just
doing one song on a new greatest hits package.
However, the song is good enough that I am revisiting
the idea of going to see them next Friday night. Has
anyone seen the tour? Since it's in support of a
greatest hits record, are they playing songs from
throughout their career (although, really, it's a
latter-day greatest hits package - 88-03)? Can anyone
give me an idea about setlists? Who's drumming for
them?
