I'd vote for Honeycrack, a UK band made up from people from the Wildhearts
and Terrorvision, if I'm not mistaken. While Silver Sun is quite unique
as has already been said, some Honeycrack songs seem a blueprint for what
would become Silver Sun -see "The Genius Is Loose". This cd, called Prozaic,
is worth it for this song alone. The rest of the songs veer into *almost*
heavy territory but sometimes they have a Beatley -specially Harrisonesque
sound-. Really good stuff! They have a lot of non-Lp sides and another cd
full of good rarities.

I agree the YFF couldn't be compared to to SS, but what a great band this
is. Stewart's description is perfect. I saw them live once too and I hope
I can see them again sometime!

For those who haven't heard Silver Sun, run don't walk to get all their
stuff (lots of perfect non-Lp tracks too). They never wrote a bad track.
I think a comparison to the most recent Redd Kross wouldn't be far-fetched,
perhaps with more harmonies. Brilliant power pop, as good as can get. Great
to hear they will release a new record sometime soon!
Btw, anyone wanting to share their rare cassette-only fanclub songs & performances?
Pleazzze....

best!
Francesc
