as a huge ss fan myself, i can say none of those bands properly remind me of
james broad's music...
some have the hooks, some the guitars, some add nice harmonies, but ss is
just unique...
if u really realy want to try something similar, i'd too suggest Second
Saturday ( they used to b called the Pendletones, they even covered a bunch
of ss' songs & had one named "brit pop girl" which even quoted ss name.
james b likes em, so the connection is made), they play a very layered
pop/punk/rock brand of music with a huge, & i mean huge, attention on vocal
harmonies...
or at least u could try the travoltas, they are a pop punk band, but they
have beach boys vocal harmonies....
so now let's just wait for the new ss album...
