I agree 100%. Ironically, the first time I saw the Aunts, they opened for FOW at the Troc in Philly a few years ago. After their set, I mentioned that I had tracked down their first two vinyl albums (EVERYBODY HAPPY and TALES FROM THE VINEGAR SIDE) and had burned them to CD-R. Dave Gibbs told me that he didn't even own a copy of VINEGAR, and asked for a copy of each to be mailed to him, which I did. A few months later, they came through town again opening for Counting Crows, a show that sold out very quickly. An e-mail to Steve Hurley was quickly responded to, and he promised to put me and my brother on "the list" in exchange for three more sets of the CD-Rs for the other band members. It was very cool - my brother and I were given EP's by the band, and even helped them load their truck after the show (to tie in the "instant roadie" message).
One of my favorite concert-going experiences.
Mike
