Oh yeah...someone out there mentioned "n.p. the Dent" in this conversation.
They namecheck Fountains of Wayne in one of their songs and the songwriter
is a HUGE Fountains of Wayne fan. Cool disc, the guy has amazing vocals (in
the helium high range).

I've noticed the two most favorable recent posts about the Fountains of
Wayne show were by folks who were *slight conjecture* musicians themselves
and were getting off on how they played their instruments. I'd admit, I may
not always connect at that level.

Brendan Benson fans - do well to check out the new Mood Elevator CD "Married
Alive" - indeed Brendan is essentially touted on the cover sticker and the
CD as a full fledged member of the band and co-wrote 5 of the eleven songs.
His influence is pretty obvious here. As well, the Mood Elevator were
essentially his band in the last tour under the moniker "the Well-Fed Boys".
It's out on Doppler Records, I think Bruce has got it (and the Dent CD!).

apologies in advance to anyone annoyed that I've brought up CDs and pop
songs yet again.
