He doesn't own the publishing for the Creedence songs, which he signed away
to Saul Zaentz and Fantasy Records back when was a kid who didn't know any
better. So when "The Old Man Down the Road" came out and sounded a hell of
a lot like the old CCR hit "Run Through the Jungle," Zaentz sued for
infringement of a copyright he owned; legally, it didn't matter that
Fogerty had written both songs, because he didn't own the copyright on the
earlier song.
