ahhh....reason #712 to belong to the audities list
(don't MAKE me show you the first seven hundred and
eleven)
i came home from work and quizzed my
super-knowledgeable sig other on this band. turns
out, we've got the 1998 release "neo wave" tucked away
in the vault known as "our collection" (side note: he
is the manager of one of the few indie record stores
left and we have gladly sacrificed financial
compensation for a "see it-listen to a track-like
it-bring it home at cost"-approach to expanding the
collection. thus, i cannot keep up with every new
acquisition)
this cd is AWESOME. there's so much to like...rock,
harmony, retro-vibe with enough modern to make it
engaging. i'm thinking a bit marvy 3 but nicer and
more layered vocals.
anyway, thanks to whoever began the discussion and
those who helpfully followed up. i'm an enthused
convert.
