Okay, if we're going back aways, Ray Stevens
singing backup on Bobby Goldsboro's "It's Too
Late."
And back to the thread of depressing songs, fo me,
Bobby takes the cake with "Honey." Way back
when, to show a buddy how much I hated that song,
we went to a Woolworths in Orlando, I bought the
45, broke it right in front of him and the cashier,
then threw it away. I like all of Goldsboro's other
stuff, though!
Someone did a send-up of "Honey," where the tree
dies instead of the wife. Anybody know who that
was? Maybe Ben Colter?
