Not to quibble too much, but only "A Day In The Life" required two 4-track
machines synched, as most of the songs had already been reduction mixed and
bounced to one track on a fresh tape before further overdubs.  ADITL was
done with a second machine synched for the orchestral freak-out as they did
multiple passes of the orchestra on the second machine to make it denser.
However, if one were to truly be able to remix Sgt. Pepper, it would be
desirable to make a new multi-track out of all the early generation tracks a
la the digital transfer of "Pet Sounds" from the 3-, 4- & 8-track multis.
