I have no idea what this band was. I got free tickets to see DDuran in
Oklahoma
city in 1984 from a freind who worked at KJ-103 (OKC's longtime CHR station)
and they picked a local club group, "The Blades" open for them. No mention of
any opening act on the radio or newspaper.
The lights went down to a huge defeating scream from a packed house (The
Myrad)
of mostly teenage girls awaiting thier heros. The curtain opened and the
announcer went "Ladies & Gentleman - please welcome OKC's The Blades" - to a
huge "oooooooooooh!!! of disapointment". They played around a 35 minute set
(of
mostly thier own material) to little applause.
DDuran were danm good though.
