could it have been Book of Love?
I saw Depeche Mode in Berkeley same year, and I think
that's who opened on the west coast. I seem to recall
some interesting set situations. I also remember
Martin Gore wearing a long leather skirt and a long
string of pearls, and the girls screaming when he
twirled them.
