A band that I could never figure out whether to add the
"The" to was/is (The) Sweet. I tend to think just Sweet
works better but have seen it in print and heard it spoken
both ways many times.
Perhaps it was a situation where they were The Sweet while
under the tutelage of the two producers but when they got
out from under them and started writing and performing more
of their own material they became just Sweet? Mike B., any
insight?
