Actually, SST released a four-song EP that had the "Eight Miles High" and
"Makes No Sense at All" singles. The MTM show theme was the B-side of
"Makes..."

As for Husker Du recommendations -- since pretty much everything has been
recommended except their early hardcore stuff, I'd break it down this way --

I think that for the basic Auditeer, WAREHOUSE is probably the place to
start. It's their most accessible record and is swimming in hooky songs.
If you like that, go through the catalog backwards. Though I love their SST
stuff, Spot's production is pretty abysmal (though what the records lack in
fidelity, is made up for in hot performances -- HD was a great live band),
and that may be a dealbreaker for some.

As for best album, I'd go with FLIP YOUR WIG. Both Bob Mould and Grant Hart
were hitting on all cylinders. You get some great pop tunes -- not just
"Makes..." "Hate Paper Doll", "Green Eyes" and "Flexible Flyer" are
wonderful too -- and that's just the first side!
