i'd vote for Mould on both counts! Wishing Well is a cool
tune as well. What did you guys think of Sugar? - isn't "If I
Could Change Your Mind" one of the finest power pop songs
you've ever heard?

listed in that lineup of great guitarists. shoot, the guy's
buzz saw sound propelled some of the coolest pop songs of the
80s with husker du! and then it got aped like crazy (though
not as cool)when alterna rock took over in the 90s.

debut "workbook" is definitely one and i'm surprised i forgot
to list that in my earlier post. listen to the opening
track "sunspots" to hear his wonderful picking and then stay
tuned for the wonderful pop track "see a little light."

another solo record that is supposedly in the same mood
of "workbook."
