The Welsh band Memfis Bend did a killer version of it too.
There's a great story about this in Deke Leonard's book The Welsh Connection.
Seems one of the bands, maybe the Jets was playing this at a US Airforce base in
England. After they were done one of the black GIs came up and said "don't play
that one again, it's not nice".
