The first two albums and V are truly amazing. There's some good stuff
sprinkled throughout their mid-70's releases, though Lamm started
writing less, which was a shame. I think the band was pretty useless
after Terry Kath killed himself. Cetera tried like hell to turn it into
his solo vehicle after that... are real MOR nightmare. Unfortunately,
this is the vision of Chicago most people are left with.
Chicago II was an album that totally mesmerized me and changed the way I
thought about music. It is such a cohesive masterwork. I still love to
just sit and listen to it in it's entirety now and then. Highly
recommended if you are on the fence about this band.
