This list has already been dissed on my other favorite forum - The Les Paul
Forum - ad infinitum, but just a few thoughts. Kurt Cobain was a fine
songwriter and a major figure (perhaps the major figure) in 90's rock, but I
was a better guitarist at age 14 (and that isn't saying much). I love Johnny
Ramone but WTF? And certainly Lita Ford was the guitarist of the Runaways -
not Joan Jett. Other inclusions are a bit baffling also. Henry Vestine and
Jack White come to mind. I'm not a fan really, but where's Eric Johnson,
Steve Vai and Joe Satriani?
Folks I would have included: Mick Taylor, Django Reinhart, Davey Graham,
Martin Carthy, Otis Rush and Richard Lloyd. My favorite guitarist, Peter
Green did make the list at 38.
