I'd like to endorse SOTT for new and/or curious Auditeers.  I went through a 
few back when it was still a tape thing (and then was one of the last analog 
holdouts).  The only reason I don't participate now is that my writing 
duties take up too much listening time.  But if you want to 'catch up' on 
current pop, or learn about things you haven't heard before, this is for 
you.

More importantly, if you're a newbie to the pop thing, don't think that 
because you have a small collection that you can't make a worthwhile mix -- 
it's not a competition.  In my experience, every SOTT brought a range of 
mixes, from some that are entirely chock full of songs I've never heard 
before, to some that are about 50/50, to some where I know most everything.  
And I enjoy all three of those types of mixes -- that's the key -- to make a 
fun mix disc.

Just wanted to put in my two cents -- Bill Mastro is a saint for putting 
this together on a regular basis and carrying on Walter Clevenger's inspired 
idea...
