Hi, today I made a few changes to Audities-List operation.
1) All posts by non-subscribers will now be bounced back to the
poster with a short explanation, possible causes & suggested
solutions and a copy of the rejected post. Since moving to
Smoe.ORG I've redirected non-subscriber posts to me for approval
but the latest SoBig.F virus put 1000's of these in my post
request folder - thus the policy change.
Yahoo Groups subscribers take special note as I will no longer
approve your posts. Either subscriber to the list proper or have
your posts rejected.
Posts from subscribers having other approval issues will
continue to be forwarded to me for approval.
2) A periodic message noting your subscription address and
some info on how to change it or change other subscription
options, and archive access information is now being sent. All
subscribers should have received a copy today, including digest
people. You only receive info about you, fyi.
Another hint to Yahoo Groups folks. If you didn't receive the
message then most likely you aren't subscribed via Smoe.ORG.
3) All posts larger than 30,000 characters are now dropped with
no notification, again due to the SoBig.F virus. This will also
eat those occasional entire-digest replies, which used to be
bounced.
I will make other automation enhancements as needed to either
reduce my admin time or to better assist you the subscriber.
Suggestions gladly accepted.
