If this indeed went down as you describe, it would seem that you're duty
bound to alert us as to exactly who attempted to hose you so thoroughly.
The consumer fraud division of your state attorney general's office (and
that of the state this person is in) would like to know as well, since the
scenario you describe is flagrantly illegal.
