Just a heads up on the new disc *The Trouble with Success*
from Paula Kelley out on Kimchee Records. I've heard it once
through and it is really good. Rather ornate arrangements
i.e. strings, horns and solid backing vocals. Think: Brian
Wilson, Arthur Lee, Zombies, Bacharach and McCartney.
Contemporary references - Of Montreal (less quirky though),
Beulah (more like the previous album), Eric Matthews,
*Painted from Memory* and so on. Oh and a pinch of Jeff
Lynne/ELO also never hurts...
BTW has anyone heard the new Super Furry Animals yet? Or GBV?
I fancy these...
n/p: um, Paula Kelley - Could There Be Another World
Grace and peace
