I saw him intro a song on the Mike Douglas show using the term Power Pop
(I can't remember the song, but it could have been "Couldn't I Just Tell
You").
I used to watch that show after school and he had some pretty cool musical
guests. I specifically remember only 3 - Rundgren, a performance by Gary
Wright (and his all keyboard band), and Kiss!
The other thing I remember about that show was the recurring guest Mason
Reese (the strange, red-headed child star of the Underwood Deviled Ham
commercials.)

"Couldn't I Just Tell You" really stands the test of
time more than 30 years after "Something/Anything?"
was released. I recall some TV show many years ago
where Todd introduced this song as an example of a
kind of music called "Power Pop" -- the first time I
can recall ever hearing this description.
