mtx are great!
i had the pleasure to meet dr frank & he's such a lovely guy....
he's recording the new mtx record & a new solo album right now, i think....
mtx rock, he's an amazing lyricist, nothing dumb or gross like the
queers..after all, for al his great melodies & songs, joe queer is still a
40-something junkie who makes a record a year to pay his addiction....
so for a 12 years girl i'd suggest mtx, for sure...
i grew up with the 90's pop punk scene ( i'm 26 ), so i know all the
lookout, fat wreck, etc thing, but there's this new scene, mixed up with
some emo, which is pretty good...at least songs mean something...& i
understand completely your daughter saying "but nobody knows them", i mean,
why not playing her some ramones, some undertones?...we know it all started
from there...but kids now think good charlotte are punk, so there u go....
