Some more recommendations:
Francoiz Breut - Vingt a Trente Mille Jours
Beautiful album, strongly recommended by Ken Stringfellow.
Bertrand Burgalat - The Sssound of Mmmusic
This man is capable of every style, listen to the beautiful Ma
Rencontre, also featured on the soundtrack of Laurel Canyon.
Because he is hard to categorize shops file him under the
lounge/electronics label, which I think is incredibly unfair!!
Andre Popp - Delirium in HI-FI (any serious music lover should own
this, my children love this and call this French music. Incredible
album from 1958, lovingly reissued by Dutch label BASTA. Popp worked
together with famed French engineer Pierre Fantosme)
Boris Vian - Boris Vian, fantastic album by pivotal figure of French
cultural life in the late 1950's. One title: Le Java Martienne is by
Andre Popp.
Cheers, Robert Kok
