Hi Everyone:
I have TONS of 70's-era "Don Kirshner's Rock Concert" & "Midnight Special"
episodes on VHS , in varying degrees of quality (several are very clean low
generation). I'd be willing to work up a trade for dubs , if anyone is
interested, my time permitting. "INDISCREET" AND "KIMONO" top my list of
SPARKS fave elpees. INDISCREET especially. Ron Mael's lyrics are pure
genius, not to mention the ingenious melodies and creative
instrumentation.......but mostly the cutting glam wham bam jolly KICK of the
tracks themselves. Dizzying! Visconti's finest hour for sure. (I love the
new "Lil Beethoven" as well, their best in prolly 20 years? This new Sparks
release features ex-Chewy Marble drummer "Tammy Glover" on drums!! Power Pop
gal makes good! We love that....)
(I think I even have a VHS dub of Sparks 1975 circa-"Indiscreet" on Don
Kirshner's!).
