Okay, so I'm being a bit harsh on Cowboy Nation. It just wasn't my cup of tea. However, I should point out that the band DID get an encore and so there were some people, like Dean, who were getting into the performance. I guess it all goes back to the comments I made here last week. The nice thing about IPO is that even if there is a band that turns out to be a "dud" for you, you know that David will be there to bring the set in under 30 mins (or as close as possible).

And maybe I was just tired from going to so many shows over the course of 2 weeks before that. For what it's worth, I do enjoy many types of country. I went to see the Jayhawks and Thorns a few days before that and both were amazing.

And even though I didn't mention it in my other post, Cosmo Topper also put on a great performance at the Derby. Their song "Hey Ann Margaret" is one of the best tracks on this years IPO compilation and I saw it got some airplay on Rodney On The ROQ's show last week!
