Cathy didn't mention the Friday night show at the Knitting Factory. Sadly, this
was the only IPO show I was able to get to. Highlights for me on Friday night
were the Rembrandts--they had nothing to sell, but their set was a lot of fun,
they sounded great as they ran through their hits and a couple of more recent
tunes. Just one question: was that Phil Solem or was it really David Spade??

Feel was the highlight of the night for me. Scot Sax does the rock-star
preening as good as anyone. The extended "I Am the Summertime" with other
classic rock hits ("Take A Walk on the Wild Side", "You Can't Always Get What
You Want", etc) was very cool. I highly recommend the Feel CD!

Also, I really enjoyed Leisure McCorkle (?). They worked hard, played well and
were entertaining. Sort of a Joe Jackson/Elvis Costello feel...

Congrats once again to David Bash who puts his heart into IPO and brings a lot
of great bands some needed attention.
