My Ben Folds ep arrived today as well! The Cure cover is excellent. That
song has also been covered by Luka Bloom and John Eddie (a *great* r'n'r
treatment on the hit and (mostly) miss "Rubaiyat" Elektra Records
anniversary collection. I think Ben should do an entire collection

np - Dionne Warwick "Soulful" - Speaking of killer interpretations! I was
completely unfamiliar with this 1969 Chips Moman production. If you count
"Dusty in Memphis" as a favorite, you will need to hunt this one down.
Outstanding covers of "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'", "People Got To Be
Free", and a cool slow vamp through "Hard Day's Night" (?!?) are just a few
of the highlights. I gotta go hit the repeat button again.

Speaking of Cure covers, my copy of the Ben Folds EP arrived in the mail
yesterday, and, as I think has been mentioned in at least one post, it
includes Ben's version of "Inbetween Days." The four originals are pretty
tasty, too. Nice to see a track co-written by Darren Jessee, though I
understand it's actually an old track and not a recent collaboration.
