I highly doubt the Scientology angle. People vocalist/songwriter
Larry Norman was one of the founding fathers and most influential figures of
Jesus Rock (nowadays known as Christian Contemporary Music). In fact,
there's a song on the first People album called "What We Need Is a Lot More
Jesus and a Lot Less Rock & Roll".
