Man, there's a local band whose bass player just got a Rickenbacker and he
consistently has problems with getting a good sound out of it. Which is
CRAZY 'cause those things can sound damn good. Apparently though they tend
to either disappear or really stand out in a mix depending on how familiar
you are with using one. That's before it even goes through a PA. Apparently
you have to know your Ric before taking the stage with it. They're
hardheaded aminals that will work well once you've mastered them.
