If the comment had been more about the nature of the lyrics that demonstrated arrogance, or the sound of the music that was not to his liking, I wouldn't have a problem.  It was him calling the *band* arrogent and citing only a song title for his reasoning.  It can be compared to me saying a particular band is total crap without explaining why.  Although, with a word like "arrogent" - which has less to do with one's skill and more to do with one's attitude and personality, it can be a pretty stinging word.
