I thought it was a nice collection - but the first CD sounds the same as the
first 1996 remastering.

At least the compilers left Glyn Johns original mixes alone for the 70's era
remastered CD's - I thought Jon Ashley's super-clean digital remixes of "The
Who Sells Out" and "Tommy" removed a lot of the punch the original analog LP
mixes had. I wish the compilers could have included all the omitted songs
that
were later released single-only or wound up on compilations like "Odds & Sods"
to make it a complete collection of everything that was recorded for Lifehouse
during that time.

The Young Vic tracks are excellent, almost matching the same level as "Live As
Leeds" in intensity. As long as old bands have material to reissue they will
keep scouring the valuts for new compilations.

If youre not a die-hard Who fan I suggest skipping this and getting the Led
Zeppelin DVD - 5 1/2 hours of amazing performances.
