We swung by a thrift store on Saturday that's about a 1/2 mile from our
apartment, and, as ever, I immediately went over to see if there were any
CDs worth picking up. First good sign: they're only a buck. Second good
sign: there are a ton of them. Third good sign, and the one that makes me
realize that I'm not going to feel comfortable leaving until I scour through
all of these discs: I immediately find the Drive-By Truckers' 2003 release,
"Decoration Day." Oh, yeah, this is going to be fun. All the booty wasn't
quite as impressive as that one, but I spent 10 bucks and, in addition to
the Truckers, I also picked up these:
Bleu, "Redhead" (original version)
Bryndle, "Bryndle" (featuring Karla Bonoff, Kenny Edwards, Andrew Gold, and
Wendy Waldman)
Gus, "Gus"
John Hiatt and the Goners, "Beneath This Gruff Exterior"
Kula Shaker, "Summer Sun EP"
John Mellencamp, "Trouble No More"
Menthol, "Menthol"
Shakespear's Sister, "Sacred Heart"
Superchunk, "Incidental Music 1991-1995"
