When he was younger, my dad used to tell me that people would say he looked
like Walter Matthau. I didn't really see it, but when my parents came to
my college on Parents Day, the dad of a friend of mine, who'd never met my
dad, yelled out "Walter!" when he saw him, as if he was stunned to see
Walter Matthau there!
