you know what.  that's totally true.  i once worked with a band that had the
words "joy division" liberally used everywhere in their press kit.  i re-did
it - capsulizing and stuff - removing most of the joy division stuff and
presto!  no more comparisons to joy division.  i think some guys are just in
a hurry, like the cats from the alt weeklies who've got to check out tons of
stuff per week and maybe *slip* a little.
