It is great to see Spaz is still lurking among us.

np-R. Stevie Moore-The Future Is Worse Than The Past (what a pop
genius!!!!!)
Is the POP scene officially dead?
Yes, there are still pop bands. Yes, there are still pop fans. But I've
noticed a distinct lack of camaraderie these past few years and a lot more
hostile attitudes. This does not bode well for the future of this great
scene we once were so passionate about. It's become a 'my opinions can beat
up your opinions' attitude. And yes, my opinion can certainly beat up your
opinion! :)
Has anyone noticed that some of Auditees' greatest early supporters have
either unsubscribed from this list or at least don't bother to lurk or read
the e-mail or digests anymore? Sure, the great Bob Segarini is here (a
personal fave of mine), but where are the folks who were involved with the
scene back when Tony put together the first few Poptopias? Where, oh, where
can they be? I talk to quite a few of them and, well, they are still on
their daily pop mission in life, but they have no interest in joining in on
the mud-slinging that goes on on this list.
So, before the scene drips away, start talking about music again, sharing
your love for this exciting jangle of joy and have fun again. And let's talk
about some new bands instead of the same old ones over and over again. If I
ever hear the name ROONEY or see it spelled out on the Auditees list, I'm
gonna scream....wait.....there it is....in this paragraph...the word ROONEY!
ARGH! There it was again! I can't get away.....
:)
