Hmmm Greg...I once hosted a Pampered Chef party where about 10 people showed
up...so maybe there's hope after all!
A house concert here in the hills is a definite possibility...but figuring
out a way to get a few bands onstage for one of the local events where the
ENTIRE town shows up would offer a much better exposure. There are a lot of
shows here that feature symphonies, dance troupes, mimes, ballet, etc. (in
the past this town has hosted exclusive (in the US) appearances by the
Bolshoi) The "Vilar Center For the Perfoming Arts" is one dandy venue (do a
search if you like to look at cool venues via a 360 visual) that has hosted
a few rock/pop/blues artists, but not many. (Cowboy Junkies, Arlo comes
every year, Keb Mo, Karla Bonoff, etc) I'd like to somehow change this...but
again, am not a promoter and have no idea where to start or if there's any
interest locally in shows such as these.
If I could win that Powerball jackpot...we'd have one hell of a pop tour
criss-crossing the country!
