re: "Goin' Down"

I do remember reading somewhere
that the lyrics were written together,
"in-the-round"
(in the studio?)
a la "Zilch" and possibly even "No Time."

Meaning Micky's original lyrical idea was fleshed out
by his three fellow pre-Fabs,
each taking a turn at writing a line
then passing it over to the next Monkee in line to add to.

If not exactly true,
then at least it's (a) a Great story,
and/or
(b) can mean endless hours spent debating precisely which Monkee wrote which
line.

CC (or whomsoever) ?
Whaddaya think??

Coz it isn't necessarily MY opinion that the people are intending,

Gary "and Where was it exactly that I said I didn't like Wooly Bully?" Pig
