It's definitely a suicide song, but I don't think the narrator actually comes
out the other side. I think he questions what he's done (jumping in the river)
but at the end I'm pretty sure it's a corpse floating down to New Orleans.

PS - Anyone wanna debate whether "Gonna Buy Me A Dog" is about Jean-Paul
Sartre's questioning of his own socialist philosophy or a loose retelling of
the story of Ritchie's middle name on the Dick Van Dyke Show. I tend to favor
the latter theory although a few lines don't match up
